Patrick lives in Pennsylvania were the native elk were hunted to extinction in the mid-nineteenth century. They have since been reintroduced into north-central Pennsylvania and are slowing growing in number. It makes him feel good to see these animals return to their place in the ecosystem in numbers large enough to support managed hunting.
